Many students have issues avoiding plagiarism - whether its because they do not understand how to cite sources, or they are plagiarizing accidentally. Either way, plagiarism is a serious offence at York University, which can result in a written disciplinary warning, a failure in the course, or in extreme cases, expulsion from the university.
