Gain insights into the mental health field from Jean-François Crépault (MA Political Science, 2007), Senior Policy Analyst, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), who says, "It will be 10 years in August since I completed my MA in Poli Sci at York. I now work at CAMH, where my role is to develop policy recommendations in the area of substance use and communicate them to government and other stakeholders. This includes topics like how to legalize and regulate cannabis, how to address the opioid crisis, etc. It's a fascinating field!"
This is part of the TASTE program (Take A Student To Eat). It's designed to provide York students with an opportunity to talk face to face with a York grad about their career-related interests. The program pairs two students with one of our incredible alumni over an informal lunch or coffee setting during which the alumna/us shares information about their job, industry, and organization while students gain inside information and inspiration from someone who's been there. It's an incomparable opportunity.
Interested students need to sign up to participate in this very generous offer by our alumni. We're constantly on the lookout for alumni to participate, and if you'd consider participating, find out more about what's involved.
Additional TASTE events are added regularly. See what's upcoming.
