Conflict of Interest: A Reflection

All Welcome.

Conflict of interest is often alleged but little understood. This presentation is a brief exploration of the concept, how it has been defined in law and beyond, and how it has been regulated. The presentation will discuss federal, provincial and municipal examples and will argue for the importance of conceptual clarity in this aspect of government ethics law.

Presenter: GREG LEVINE is an Ontario lawyer and a former Integrity Commissioner. He is the author of Municipal Ethics Regimes (2nd edition is forthcoming) and the Law of Government Ethics: Federal, Ontario and British Columbia
