THE 2017 CLASSICAL ASSOCIATION OF CANADA CENTRAL LECTURER

Professor Peter Toohey, Professor of Classics, Department of Classics and Religion, University of Calgary

Peter Toohey, the author of Jealousy (2014), Boredom: A Lively History (2011), Melancholy, Love and Time (2004) and Reading Epic: An Introduction to the Ancient Narratives (1992), has a special interest in the nature and history of the emotions. He is this year’s Distinguished Touring Lecturer of the Classical Association of Canada/Société canadienne des études classiques (CAC/SCEC).
