A good thesis statement is expected for most papers you will write here at York. But clear, practical advice for writing an effective, clear sentence or two about your paper’s argument can be hard to come by. In this Writing Centre workshop, you’ll get a straightforward definition of a thesis statement, loads of practical tips for creating them, and some practical experience applying the workshop’s ideas to generate your own thesis statements. You’ll need a stable internet connection, microphone, and a word processor to participate (group work included), but a video camera is optional.
This workshop will take place on Zoom. Please join the session prior to the 12:00 pm start time. Click on this link to join: https://yorku.zoom.us/j/96793735173
